Aidan Harte
Aidan Harte studied sculpture at the Florence Academy of Art; it was while he was in Italy that he was inspired to write The Wave Trilogy: Irenicon, shortlisted for the David Gemmell Morningstar Award, and its sequels The Warring States and Spira Mirabilis. His interest in folklore and mythology also informs his sculpture; he recently won a commission from County Clare in Ireland for his ‘Púca of Ennistymon’, based on the character from Gaelic folklore, which has won him a lot of fans, including actor Chris O’Dowd and comedian Dara O’Briain.
